Centennial faced Shadow Ridge in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Monday. The Bulldogs blew past the Mustangs 12-6. This was a revenge game for the Bulldogs: when they faced off against the Mustangs back in March, they had to take a 13-8 defeat.

Centennial let Abigail Estrada and Elise Hanseen run wild. Estrada went 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI, while Hanseen went 2-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. That's the most RBI Hanseen has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Ava Gonzales, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Centennial kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. They are 6-3 when they post 11 or more hits.

Centennial's win bumped their record up to 10-18. As for Shadow Ridge, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 14-6.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Centennial is set to square off against their familiar foe Green Valley at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Shadow Ridge will take on rival Bishop Gorman at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
