Ithaca put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They breezed past the Hemlock Huskies to the tune of 44-0. The Yellowjackets have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Huskies, too.

Ithaca found their leader in sophomore Greyson Merchant, who rushed for 75 yards and two TDs, and also threw for 120 yards and one touchdown.

Ithaca's victory bumped their record up to 5-0. As for Hemlock, their loss was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-4.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Ithaca is set to square off against their familiar foe Valley Lutheran at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Yellowjackets 10.6, the Chargers 9.8) so any points scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, Hemlock will challenge rival Nouvel Catholic Central at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
