Soccer Game Preview: Edmond North vs. Edmond Memorial

The Edmond North Huskies will square off against the Edmond Memorial Bulldogs at 8:00 p.m. on Friday.

Edmond North is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Oklahoma's top teams: Deer Creek, who was ranked 20th at the time (Edmond North was ranked 15th). Neither the Huskies nor the Antlers could gain the upper hand on Tuesday so the two teams had to settle for a 0-0 draw.

Meanwhile, Edmond Memorial had already won nine in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 3.6 goals) and they went ahead and made it ten on Tuesday. They came within a single goal of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Knights. Two seems to be a good number for Edmond Memorial as the team scooped up a win with the same number of goals in their previous game.

Edmond Memorial's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-2-4. Those road wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those four contests. Edmond North's draw makes their record 8-3-3 this season.
