Basketball Recap: East Moline United Victorious + How To Watch

East Moline United had to kick off their season on the road on Friday, but they showed no ill effects. They walked away with a 48-35 victory over the Little Village Phoenix. The Panthers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Phoenix, too.

Little Village's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Anyvion Grady, who dropped a double-double with 12 points and 11 rebounds, and Dion Boyd Jr, who dropped a double-double with 12 points and 11 boards. Boyd Jr has been hot for a while, having posted nine or more boards the last 18 times he's played. Kenneth Williams was another key player, putting up four points in addition to ten rebounds and four steals.

This is the second loss in a row for Little Village and nudges their season record down to 4-2.

East Moline United didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 48-35 win against Limestone on the 29th. As for Little Village, they will take on St. Rita at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
