Basketball Recap: Greenleaf Friends Academy Comes Up Short

Greenleaf Friends Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They took a blow against the Garden Valley Wolverines, falling 66-37. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Wolverines this season, with their most recent defeat being a 72-32 loss back in January.

Garden Valley's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Maxon Yearsley, who went 9-for-17 on his way to 22 points. Another player making a difference was Madix Miller, who dropped a double-double with 11 points and 12 assists.

Greenleaf Friends Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 9-14. As for Garden Valley, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-8 record this season.

Greenleaf Friends Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Garden Valley, they have already played their next matchup, an 80-41 victory against Council on the 27th.
