Basketball Game Preview: Logan Longhorns vs. Melrose Buffaloes

The Logan Longhorns will square off against the Melrose Buffaloes at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. Logan will be looking to extend their current eight-game winning streak.

Logan is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. They took down Magdalena 51-33.

Meanwhile, Melrose hadn't done well against Fort Sumner/House recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. Melrose walked away with a 67-54 victory over Fort Sumner/House. Winning may never get old, but the Buffaloes sure are getting used to it with their fifth in a row.

Melrose's win bumped their record up to 25-5. As for Logan, their victory bumped their record up to 25-3.

Logan came up short against Melrose when the teams last played back in February, falling 65-58. Can Logan avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
