Baseball Recap: Brainerd Warriors vs. Willmar Cardinals
Brainerd was the 3-0 winner over Willmar when they last played one another back in April of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Brainerd Warriors fell 10-5 to the Willmar Cardinals on Thursday. Brainerd's defeat continues an unfortunate trend for the team, making it three in a row.
For Willmar's part, Dylan Staska was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over seven innings while giving up four earned (and one unearned) runs off nine hits. Staska was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-3.
