Soccer Game Preview: Classical vs. Johnston + How To Watch

The Classical Purple will face off against the Johnston Panthers at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Johnston will face off against a team with plenty of momentum: Classical extended their winning streak to four on Monday. The Purple came out on top against Rogers by a score of 5-3. The score was all tied up 0-0 at the break, but Classical were the better team in the second half.

Their offense was hitting Rogers from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Johnston). They were the clear victors by a 5-1 margin over Tolman on Wednesday. Johnston haven't had any issues with Tolman recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive win against them.

Johnston's victory bumped their record up to 6-7. As for Classical, their win bumped their record up to 6-2.

Classical took their victory against Johnston in their previous matchup back in October of 2024 by a conclusive 9-0 score. Will the Purple repeat their success, or do the Panthers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
