Basketball Recap: Jasper County Triumphs

Jasper County fell on hard times earlier this season, but after back-to-back wins it seems like their luck might finally be changing. They skirted past the Southwest Atlanta Christian Warriors 51-48.

Chase Wiggins and Jabari Burleson certainly did their best on Tuesday to avoid the loss. Wiggins dropped a double-double on 11 points and 14 boards, while Burleson went 6 of 7 on his way to 16 points and three blocks. Those three blocks gave Burleson a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Talyn Harris, who posted ten points.

Jasper County's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-9. As for Southwest Atlanta Christian, their defeat was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 3-12.

Jasper County will face off against Greenforest at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Southwest Atlanta Christian, they will square off against Social Circle at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
