Soccer Game Preview: Cypress Ranch vs. Waller

The Cypress Ranch Mustangs will head out to take on the Waller Bulldogs at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Cypress Ranch has four straight victories, Waller has 13 straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the pitch.

Cypress Ranch's defense heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Wednesday. They had just enough and edged out Cypress Park 1-0. The Mustangs wouldn't have won without Edie Dispensa, who scored the game-winner.

Meanwhile, Waller fell victim to Cypress Lakes and their airtight defense on Wednesday. They came up short against the Spartans, falling 6-0.

Cypress Ranch's win bumped their record up to 12-3. As for Waller, their loss dropped their record down to 2-13.

Everything went Cypress Ranch's way against Waller when the teams last played back in January, as Cypress Ranch made off with a 4-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Cypress Ranch since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
