Basketball Recap: Wildwood Comes Up Short

Wildwood played a tough contest on Tuesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were dealt a 72-43 loss at the hands of the Salem Rams. The defeat continues a trend for the Warriors in their matchups with the Rams: they've now lost five in a row.

When it comes to explaining why Wildwood lost, don't look at Brian Cunniff. Despite the final result, he posted 18 points and seven boards. The game was Cunniff's 11th in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Nolan Mawhinney, who earned five points and five rebounds.

Wildwood's loss dropped their record down to 5-10. As for Salem, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 12-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Wildwood will take on Penns Grove at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Salem, they will challenge Medford Tech at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
