Volleyball Game Preview: St. Cloud Bulldogs vs. Bishop Moore Hornets

The St. Cloud Bulldogs will venture away from home to square off against the Bishop Moore Hornets at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Bishop Moore took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on St. Cloud, who comes in off a win.

On Monday, St. Cloud earned a 3-1 win over Ridge Community. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Bulldogs.

St. Cloud had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 20-25, 25-20, 25-20, 25-18.

Meanwhile, Bishop Moore faced Winter Park in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Wednesday. The Hornets fell just short of the Wildcats by a score of 3-2. The loss continues a trend for the Hornets in their meetings with the Wildcats: they've now lost nine in a row.

Bishop Moore started the match hot and won the first two sets, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 23-25, 21-25, 25-15, 25-16, 15-8.

St. Cloud will have to keep a close watch on Marc Francis Callejas and Cole Ferris, a pair of players who had a big impact on Bishop Moore's prior game. Callejas had 27 digs and two assists, while Ferris had 14 digs. Callejas has been hot for a while, having posted 11 or more digs the last ten times he's played.

Bishop Moore's defeat dropped their record down to 17-7. As for St. Cloud, the victory got them back to even at 10-10.
