Basketball Recap: Tuesday's Victory Is Lancaster's 16th in Last 17 Outings

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Lancaster had no problem doing just that on Tuesday. They were the clear victor by a 60-39 margin over the Grand Oaks Grizzlies. The Tigers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 20 games by 21 points or more this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Lancaster to victory, but perhaps none more so than Makenzie White, who posted 13 points and six steals. White has been hot recently, having posted three or more steals the last four times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of KaMoriya Davis, who dropped a double-double with ten points and ten boards.

Lancaster smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 18 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 12 offensive rebounds in six consecutive matchups.

Lancaster is on a roll lately: they've won 16 of their last 17 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 26-5 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.8 points over those games. As for Grand Oaks, their loss dropped their record down to 31-4.

Looking ahead, a feisty cat fight will be fought as the Tigers face off against the Panthers at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday. Cypress Springs will roll in looking for their 27th straight win, something Lancaster surely won't give up without a fight. Grand Oaks does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
