The IMG Academy Black Ascenders had to endure a ten-game losing streak dating back to last season, but that streak is no more. They enjoyed a cozy 51-34 win over Saint Stephen's Episcopal on Monday. That looming 51-34 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for IMG Academy Black yet this season.
Despite the loss, Saint Stephen's Episcopal still got an impressive performance from Nick Yatros, who scored 15 points. Another player making a difference was Jack Horn, who scored two points along with nine rebounds.
IMG Academy Black's win ended a four-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 1-8. As for Saint Stephen's Episcopal, they bumped their record down to 1-6 with that defeat, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. IMG Academy Black will challenge Palmetto at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
