Baseball Recap: Neuse Charter Comes Up Short

Neuse Charter fell victim to East Wake Academy and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They came up short against the East Wake Academy Eagles, falling 19-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Cougars of the 11-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Neuse Charter saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Connor Phillips, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base.

Neuse Charter's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for East Wake Academy, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 3-0.

Looking ahead, Neuse Charter will be playing at home against Eastern Wayne at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for East Wake Academy, they will venture away from home to face off against Wakefield at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in East Wake Academy's favor is that they have posted at least ten runs every time they've taken the field this season.
