Softball Game Preview: Jefferson Cavaliers vs. Brandon Valley Lynx

The Jefferson Cavaliers will take on the Brandon Valley Lynx on Thursday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Jefferson's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 15-0 margin over Yankton. The win was nothing new for the Cavaliers as they're now sitting on seven straight.

Meanwhile, Brandon Valley entered their tilt with Mitchell on Tuesday with three consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with four. They put the hurt on the Kernels with a sharp 13-2 victory.

Danielle Schoby was incredible, firing off two home runs, five RBI, and one double while going 4-for-4. That's the most home runs she has posted since back in April. The team also got some help courtesy of Briley Laber, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with four RBI, two runs, and one triple.

Jefferson pushed their record up to 14-3 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Brandon Valley, their win bumped their record up to 16-4.
