Softball Recap: St. Albans Red Dragons vs. Wahama White Falcons
St. Albans lost against Wahama back in April of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. St. Albans fell just short of Wahama by a score of 5-4. The Red Dragons have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Ava Bentley was huge no matter where she played even without the win. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run while striking out seven over six innings pitched. She has been consistent : she hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts any time she's pitched this season. She was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-4.
In other batting news, Paige White was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-4 with one home run. Carlee Parker also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.
Even though they lost, St. Albans hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Wahama struck out seven times.
St. Albans now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Wahama, the win keeps they at an undefeated 6-0.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. St. Albans will challenge Belfry at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Wahama, they will square off against Webster County at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
