Volleyball Game Preview: Alameda Pirates vs. Vail Christian Saints

Alameda is 0-3 against Vail Christian since April of 2023 but things could change on Monday. The Pirates will take on the Saints at 5:30 p.m. Alameda will be strutting in after a victory while Vail Christian will be coming in after a loss.

Alameda had to skate by with only a one-set margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the three-set drubbing they dealt Rocky Mountain Prep SMART on Friday. The Pirates blew past the Ocelotls 3-0. The Pirates not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since March 5th.

Alameda not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Rocky Mountain Prep SMART between 15 and 18 points across their sets. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-15, 25-18.

Meanwhile, Vail Christian came up short against Denver East on Friday and fell 3-1.

The final score came out to 25-16, 22-25, 25-17, 25-13.

Vail Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Alameda, they now have a winning record of 5-4.
