It was a proper cat-fight when Howells-Dodge faced off against Lyons-Decatur Northeast on Tuesday. The Jaguars walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Cougars. The Jaguars haven't had any issues with the Cougars recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

The 2-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Howells-Dodge was: they took both sets by at least 13 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-8, 25-12.

Kylie Brichacek paced Howells-Dodge's offense, picking up nine kills. Brichacek got some help from Riley Svehla and her 19 assists. Peyten Becker controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Howells-Dodge's victory bumped their record up to 11-5. As for Lyons-Decatur Northeast, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-11.

Howells-Dodge didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 win against Wisner-Pilger on the 30th. As for Lyons-Decatur Northeast, they will face off against Oakland-Craig at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
