Preview: Roseville Tigers vs. Woodcreek Timberwolves
Roseville has been on the road for two straight, but on Monday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Woodcreek Timberwolves at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the pair posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.
Roseville posted their closest victory yet this season on Thursday. They had just enough and edged Antelope out 68-65.
Roseville found their leader in underclassman Oreste Yong, who scored 18 points along with five rebounds. Brandon Newton was another key contributor, scoring 13 points.
Woodcreek posted their biggest win since December 28, 2023 on Thursday. They blew past River Valley 68-45. The win was just what Woodcreek needed coming off of a 74-36 loss in their prior matchup.
It was another big night for Aidan Triplet, who scored 20 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Michael Kirby, Jr., who scored ten points.
Roseville's win bumped their record up to 14-7. As for Woodcreek, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 12 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 16-5 record this season.
Roseville came up short against Woodcreek in their previous meeting back in February of 2023, falling 57-47. Thankfully for Roseville, Taye Hollins (who scored 23 points along with three steals) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result? There's only one way to find out.
