Baseball Recap: Northfield Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Northfield can now relate to. They lost 12-0 to the Union City Indians on Saturday. Having soared to a lofty ten runs in the game before, the Norsemen's shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

With the defeat, Northfield broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 14-17. As for Union City, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 13-11.

Northfield does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Union City, they will challenge Kouts on Saturday. The Mustangs & Fillies' pitching crew has only allowed 1.9 runs per game this season, so the Indians' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
