Basketball Game Preview: McKenzie Rebels vs. Henry County Patriots

McKenzie hasn't had much luck against Henry County recently, but that could start to change on Monday. Both will round out the year against one another at at 12:00 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

McKenzie will head into Friday's match on the come-up: they were handed a 26-point loss in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Friday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past Montgomery Central 59-57.

Meanwhile, Henry County entered their game against Hopkins County Central on Friday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. Henry County fell 71-63 to Hopkins County Central.

McKenzie is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 5-5 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.0 points per game. As for Henry County, their defeat ended a seven-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 7-2.

McKenzie took their win against Henry County in their previous matchup back in January by a conclusive 61-41. The rematch might be a little tougher for McKenzie since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
