It was a good run, but Shepard unfortunately witnessed the end of their nine-game winning streak on Wednesday. They took a 4-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lincoln-Way West Warriors. Having soared to a lofty 15 runs in the game before, the Astros couldn't push the score so high this time.

Shepard's defeat dropped their record down to 18-4. As for Lincoln-Way West, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 15-7.

Coming up, Shepard will square off against Bremen at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Astros will need to watch out since the Braves have now posted at least ten runs in their last three contests. As for Lincoln-Way West, they will face off against Homewood-Flossmoor at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Warriors are facing the Vikings at the right time seeing as the Vikings are stuck on a five-game losing streak.
