Basketball Recap: Lindsey Moulton Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Lafayette

Beauregard had to skate by with only a two-point margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the 23-point drubbing they dealt LaFayette on Tuesday. The Hornets blew past the Bulldogs 76-53. The victory continues a trend for the Hornets in their matchups with the Bulldogs: they've now won four in a row.

Beauregard's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Lindsey Moulton led the charge by shooting 69% from the field on her way to 22 points in addition to seven boards and six steals. Moulton is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in each of the last eight games she's played dating back to last season. Another player making a difference was Kam Torbert, who posted 19 points and seven steals.

Beauregard smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in 16 consecutive games dating back to last season.

Beauregard's win bumped their record up to 5-2. As for LaFayette, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6.
