Softball Recap: Boone County Takes a Loss

Boone County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They came up short against the Simon Kenton Pioneers, falling 15-3. The Rebels were not able to make up for their defeat to the Pioneers from their previous meeting back in May of 2024.

Boone County's loss dropped their record down to 4-23. As for Simon Kenton, the win was the 19th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 23-4.

Coming up, Boone County will take on Notre Dame Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Simon Kenton, they will challenge Henry County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (the Pioneers have won six straight at home, while the Wildcats won eight straight on the road), something that'll have to change.
