Basketball Game Preview: St. Francis Prep Terriers vs. Mary Louis Academy Hilltoppers

The St. Francis Prep Terriers will challenge the Mary Louis Academy Hilltoppers at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Last Wednesday, St. Francis Prep was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 57-51 to Nazareth. While losing is never fun, the Terriers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 27th, while the Kingsmen are ranked second).

Meanwhile, Mary Louis Academy lost a heartbreaker to Christ the King when they met back in February of 2020, and they left with a heavy heart again on Monday. 2025 welcomed Mary Louis Academy with a 69-46 loss courtesy of Christ the King. The Hilltoppers haven't had much luck with the Royals recently, as the team's come up short the last eight times they've met.

Mary Louis Academy now has a losing record at 3-4. As for St. Francis Prep, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-4.
