Volleyball Recap: Brunswick Pirates vs. Savannah Arts Academy Panthers

Brunswick won the last time they faced Savannah Arts Academy and things went their way on Thursday too. The Pirates had just enough and edged out the Panthers 2-1. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Pirates.

If you add up the scores from across all three sets (59-57) Brunswick actually scored fewer points, but in the end it didn't matter. The final score came out to 17-25, 25-23, 15-11.

Ashley Adair paced Brunswick's offense, picking up 13 kills. Adair got some help from Kate Small and her 21 assists. Allie Small controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Despite the loss, Savannah Arts Academy still got an impressive performance from Natalie Lehto, who had four digs and three aces.

Brunswick's win bumped their record up to 24-9. As for Savannah Arts Academy, they dropped their record down to 11-16 with the loss, which was their fifth straight at home.

Coincidentally, Brunswick and Savannah Arts Academy will both be playing Camden County the next time they take the court. The Pirates will head out to face the Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Panthers will play them later in the day, at 7:00 p.m.
