Friday Harbor got themselves on the board against South Whidbey on Thursday, but South Whidbey never followed suit. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Falcons 63-0. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Wolverines considering their 13-point performance the contest before.
Friday Harbor's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jackson Feliz, who threw for 240 yards and four touchdowns on only 14 passes, and also rushed for 49 yards and one score. Those 240 passing yards gave Feliz a new career-high. Friday Harbor's leading receiver Channing Kleine was Feliz's top target yet again, picking up 118 receiving yards and a pair of TDs, while also rushing for 61 yards and one score on only six carries.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: Friday Harbor was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 211 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.
On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Friday Harbor's defense and their five sacks. Duncan Bogart was particularly dangerous to the passing game, picking up two himself.
Friday Harbor's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-3. As for South Whidbey, they are on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.
