Baseball Recap: Easton Thompson Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Pontotoc

Lafayette won against Pontotoc last Tuesday with two runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Friday. Lafayette beat Pontotoc by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 2-1. The victory continues a trend for the Commodores in their matchups with the Warriors: they've now won seven in a row.

Brett Williams looked comfortable as he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. He has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than one earned run any time he's pitched this season.

On the hitting side, Lafayette's win was truly a team effort as two different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Easton Thompson, who scored two runs while going 1-for-2.
