Baseball Game Preview: Liberty Bison vs. Arlington Lions

The Liberty Bison will square off against the Arlington Lions at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday.

Liberty came up short against Arlington on Monday, falling 8-2. The Bison have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Liberty got a good showing from Cody Smith, who tossed four innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. What's more, Smith posted two strikeouts, the most he's had since back in April of 2024.

On the hitting side, Liberty saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jake Feidner, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI. Rowen Baynes also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Liberty's loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Arlington, their victory bumped their record up to 5-3.
