After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Waynesboro, Riverheads was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They put the hurt on the Stonewall Jackson Generals with a sharp 11-1 win. The result was nothing new for the Gladiators, who have now won six matchups by ten runs or more so far this season.

With the victory, Riverheads broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 10-4. As for Stonewall Jackson, their defeat was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-14.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Riverheads will challenge Staunton at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Stonewall Jackson, they will face off against Madison County at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The Mountaineers will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Generals surely won't give up without a fight.
