Basketball Recap: Brown County Takes a Loss

Brown County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 13th straight loss. They had to suffer through a 62-26 loss at the hands of the Trinity Lutheran Cougars. The Eagles lost against the Cougars in their previous head to head back in January of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 73-58 score last time.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Trinity Lutheran to victory, but perhaps none more so than Marley Warren, who went 5 of 9 on her way to 15 points. Another player making a difference was Madison Keith, who posted ten points and five steals.

Brown County's defeat dropped their record down to 1-13. As for Trinity Lutheran, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 9-6 record this season.

Brown County will challenge Martinsville at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Trinity Lutheran, they will face off against West Washington at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
