Volleyball Recap: Unity's Run of Nine Straight Wins Now Over

It was a good run, but Unity unfortunately witnessed the end of their nine-match winning streak on Saturday. They fell just short of the Stanley-Boyd Orioles by a score of 2-1. The Eagles were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Orioles apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

In an exciting match in which no team claimed back-to-back wins, Unity sadly wound up on the wrong side. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 17-25, 15-10.

Andrea Erickson paced Unity's offense, picking up nine kills. Erickson got some help from Madison Wilhelm and her 11 assists.

Unity's defeat dropped their record down to 13-7. As for Stanley-Boyd, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 23-3.

Unity didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Clear Lake on the 20th. As for Stanley-Boyd, they have also already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Cadott on the 23rd.
