Southeast strolled into their game on Saturday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They came out on top against the Palmetto Tigers by a score of 2-0. The Seminoles have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Tigers, too.

The 2-0 score doesn't really reflect how close the match was: every set was decided by three points or less. The match finished with set scores of 29-27, 25-23.

Southeast's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Mellise Bush led the charge by getting ten digs and two aces.

When it comes to explaining why Palmetto lost, don't look at Darma Rodriguez. Despite the final result, she had 12 digs and two assists. Rodriguez is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 12 or more in each of the last six games she's played.

Southeast's win bumped their record up to 10-0. As for Palmetto, their loss ended a ten-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 6-6.

Southeast has already played their next game, a 2-1 defeat against DeSoto County on the 20th. As for Palmetto, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Lake Placid on the 20th.
