Football Recap: Churchill Chargers vs. Sotomayor WILDCATS

Churchill and Sotomayor squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Churchill had to settle for second. They fell to the Sotomayor WILDCATS 23-19.

Cameron Grady was his usual excellent self, rushing for 240 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 12.0 yards per carry for Sotomayor. Grady's rushing production has been exceptional as that marked his eighth straight game with at least 108 rushing yards.

Churchill's defeat dropped their record down to 6-5. As for Sotomayor, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season.

Churchill does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Sotomayor, they will challenge Vandegrift at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Vandegrift will roll in looking for their tenth straight victory, something Sotomayor surely won't give up without a fight.
