Volleyball Recap: Independence 76ers vs. Briggs Bruins

Independence lost against Briggs on April 1st, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The 76ers took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bruins. While the 76ers didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Bruins 25-20 in the first set.

Independence started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 20-25, 25-16, 25-23, 25-12.

Thomas Aubrey paced Independence's offense, picking up eight kills. Aubrey got some help from Algenis Castano and his nine assists. Castano was also solid from the service line: he led the team with five aces.
