Basketball Recap: Dissani Lynch's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Fountain-Fort Carson over Vista Ridge

Fountain-Fort Carson came up into this matchup off a tough 29-point defeat last Wednesday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of the Vista Ridge Wolves by a score of 41-38 on Saturday. The Trojans' loss continues a trend for the team, making it three in a row.

Several Trojans players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Dissani Lynch, who posted five points in addition to ten rebounds and seven assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Amiyah Nash, who earned eight points and seven boards.

It was another big night for Jasmine Byers, who had eight points and eight steals for Vista Ridge. The dominant performance gave Byers a new career-high in steals. Brooklyn Kaiser was another key player, putting up 14 points and five rebounds.

Fountain-Fort Carson's defeat dropped their record down to 5-10. As for Vista Ridge, their win bumped their record up to 12-4.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Vista Ridge beat Fountain-Fort Carson by a score of 47-28 on Monday.
