Softball Recap: Baltic Comes Up Short

If Baltic was riding high fresh off their 19-9 takedown of Parker on Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Bulldogs came up short against the McCook Central/Montrose Fighting Cougars on Tuesday, falling 18-8. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Bulldogs of the 8-4 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2024.

Baltic has also been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-6 record this season. As for McCook Central/Montrose, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Fighting Cougars beat Baltic by a score of 19-8 later that day.
