There's no place like home for Central, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 win over the Brookwood Panthers on Thursday. This was a revenge game for the Falcons: when they faced off against the Panthers last Tuesday, they had to take a 1-0 defeat.

Central's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-10. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.7 runs over those games. As for Brookwood, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last eight matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-18 record this season.

Central will head out to face off against Westminster School at Oak Mountain at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Brookwood, they will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Paul W. Bryant at 6:00 p.m. The Panthers are facing the Stampede at the right time seeing as the Stampede are stuck on a six-game losing streak.
