Baseball Recap: ACERO Garcia Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact ACERO Garcia can now relate to. They came up short against the Hillcrest Hawks on Monday, falling 16-5. The Patriots' defeat continues a trend for the squad, making it four in a row.

ACERO Garcia saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Adrian Lechuga, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with two RBI and one run. Andres Cruz was another, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one run.

ACERO Garcia now has a losing record of 8-9. As for Hillcrest, their win bumped their record up to 5-23.

ACERO Garcia does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Hillcrest, they will challenge Lemont at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Lemont HS' pitching crew has only allowed 2.3 runs per game this season, so the Hawks' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
