Kaitlynn Dorsey leads a balanced attack to beat Appling Christian Academy

Recap: Peoples Baptist Academy Knights vs. Appling Christian Academy Eagles

The Peoples Baptist Academy Knights came tearing into Friday's matchup with six straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 23.2 points) and they left with even more momentum. They took down Appling Christian Academy 44-26. This was payback for Peoples Baptist Academy, who suffered a 55-41 loss the last time these two teams met.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Peoples Baptist Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Kaitlynn Dorsey, who scored 14 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Dorsey has scored all season. Emma Satterfield was another key contributor, scoring 14 points.

Appling Christian Academy's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Bella Gray, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten rebounds, and Annaleigh Carter who scored 12 points along with six rebounds. Gray hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for six straight games.

Peoples Baptist Academy pushed their record up to 9-4 with that win, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Appling Christian Academy, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost six of their last seven matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-8 record this season.

Peoples Baptist Academy will be playing at home against Byne Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Byne Christian is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak. As for Appling Christian Academy, they will head out on the road to challenge Crossroads Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Crossroads Christian Academy comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
