Soccer Game Preview: Arroyo Grande vs. Lompoc

The Arroyo Grande Eagles will face off against the Lompoc Braves at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Lompoc took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Arroyo Grande, who comes in off a win.

Arroyo Grande is looking to give their home crowd another W after opening their season at home on Tuesday. They blew past Santa Ynez 4-1. The score was close at halftime, but Arroyo Grande pulled away in the second half with three goals.

Meanwhile, Lompoc fell victim to Santa Barbara and their airtight defense last Monday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Dons.

Everything went Arroyo Grande's way against Lompoc in their previous matchup back in November of 2024, as Arroyo Grande made off with a 3-0 win. Will the Eagles repeat their success, or do the Braves have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
