With a playoff win on the line, Calhoun/Brussels rose to the challenge on Saturday. They took their matchup with ease, bagging a 48-6 victory over the Villa Grove Blue Devils. Considering the Warriors have won eight games by more than 27 points this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

Earl Elmore threw for 54 yards on four of six attempts. Rodney Johnson was his top target, picking up 48 receiving yards. On the ground, Jacob Brannan rushed for 177 yards and four touchdowns on only 13 carries.

Calhoun/Brussels pushed their record up to 10-0 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 4.0 points on average over those games. As for Villa Grove, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-5.

As of now, neither Calhoun/Brussels nor the Blue Devils have any future games scheduled.
