Basketball Recap: La Plata Takes a Loss

La Plata lost against Thomas Stone back in February of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The La Plata Warriors fell 54-41 to the Thomas Stone Cougars. The Warriors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Despite the loss, La Plata still got an impressive performance from Aniyah Sisco, who almost dropped a double-double with 29 points and nine boards. That was a full 70.7% of La Plata's points, marking the 19th time in a row Sisco has posted more than a third of the team's points. Taylor Parker was another key player, putting up six points and three steals.

La Plata's loss dropped their record down to 3-16. As for Thomas Stone, their win bumped their record up to 6-11.

La Plata wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 49-46 defeat against Chopticon on the 14th. As for Thomas Stone, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 48-28 loss against St. Charles on the 14th.
