Basketball Recap: Deer River Picks Up 19th Straight Win on the Road

Deer River waltzed into their game on Thursday with eight straight wins... but they left with nine. They took their contest with ease, bagging an 85-52 victory over the Greenway Raiders. Given the Warriors' advantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota basketball rankings (they are ranked 50th, while the Raiders are ranked 285th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Deer River pushed their record up to 21-1 with the win, which was their 19th straight on the road dating back to last season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 88.4 points over those games.
