Softball Recap: Walhalla Takes a Loss

Walhalla was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They came up short against the Belton-Honea Path Bears, falling 15-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bears this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 22-0 on April 8th.

Walhalla saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Alysee Payne, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one double.

Walhalla's loss dropped their record down to 1-12. As for Belton-Honea Path, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-3 record this season.

Walhalla will square off against Carolina Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The Razorbacks are facing the Trojans at the right time seeing as the Trojans are stuck on a 15-game losing streak. As for Belton-Honea Path, they will be playing at home against Woodmont at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
