Football Game Preview: Wayne Valley Indians vs. Wayne Hills Patriots

The Wayne Valley Indians will take on the Wayne Hills Patriots at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (Wayne Valley 10, Wayne Hills 12) so any points scored will be well earned.

Things were looking good for Wayne Valley after they put the first points on the board on Wednesday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They took a 14-7 hit to the loss column at the hands of Elizabeth. While the Indians didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Minutemen 7-0 in the first quarter.

Meanwhile, Wayne Hills fell victim to West Milford and their airtight defense on Tuesday. They lost 26-0 to the Highlanders. The Patriots have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Wayne Hills' loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 2-3. As for Wayne Valley, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-2.

Wayne Valley beat Wayne Hills 12-0 in their previous matchup back in May of 2024. Will the Indians repeat their success, or do the Patriots have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
