It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Laney had no problem doing just that on Tuesday. They came out on top against the South View Tigers by a score of 7-2. The Buccaneers are really starting to get used to good results now that the team has won 16 straight.

TJ Ziermann spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on two hits and racked up ten Ks. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in ten consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Carston Wedemeyer was incredible, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Jason Sproull, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

Laney pushed their record up to 20-4 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.1 runs on average over those games. As for South View, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 13-13 record this season.

As of now, neither Laney nor South View have any future games scheduled.
