Basketball Recap: Warren County Takes a Loss

Warren County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They were dealt a 78-49 loss at the hands of the Fauquier Falcons. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wildcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 70-44 back in December of 2024.

Warren County's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Adrian Craig, who posted 11 points along with five rebounds and five steals. Another player making a difference was Joseph Macdougall, who earned eight points and seven boards.

Warren County's record is now 3-13. As for Fauquier, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Warren County Wildcats face off against the Brentsville District Tigers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Warren County is facing Brentsville District at the right time seeing as Brentsville District is stuck on a seven-game losing streak. Fauquier has already played their next contest (against James Wood), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
