Volleyball Recap: Madison County Takes a Loss

If Madison County was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Highland Christian Academy on Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Cowboys fell 2-0 to the Lowndes Vikings on Tuesday. The Cowboys were not able to make up for their loss to the Vikings from their previous meeting back in October of 2019.

The final score came out to 25-9, 25-14.

Among those leading the charge was Natalie Kolb, who had seven digs and four aces. Those four aces gave her a new career-high.

Madison County now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Lowndes, their victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-1.

Madison County has already played their next game, a 3-1 win against Fort White on the 20th. As for Lowndes, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Lee County on the 21st.
